Torker BMX bicycles were first made in Fullerton in 1977 and BMX bikes are what Torker is still best known for. Torker went bankrupt in 1984 and Seattle Bike Supply (SBS) purchased the name. SBS expanded the line, making not only BMX bikes, but also a line of well-regarded road bikes, tandems, cruisers, trailers and yes, unicycles.
In 2006 Seattle Bicycle Supply was acquired by the Dutch firm Accell and not long thereafter Torker production ceased.
