Campagnolo Gran Sport front derailleur, 28.6 (1 1/8") clamp-on. $150.00

This is difficult to date, but we're guessing late 1950s. It should be noted that this is NOT a less expensive Valentino front changer, which was produced in the 1960s and early '70s. This is a vintage Gran Sport. There are design clues in this derailleur that allow us to write this with certainty. The bolt fixing the cage to the pushrod is on top, not facing forward. And the hole where the pushrod leaves the derailleur body is plain, not with a reinforcement.

Campagnolo Nuovo Record front 28.6 (1 1/8") clamp-on, no circlip on top pivot. $40.00

Probably made late 1960s. We'll call it 1967, but that's a guess.

Nuovo redord front derailleur

Later front changers (posted below) had a circlip at the top pivot. But this design never caused any trouble and worked perfectly.

Campagnolo Nuovo Record (1052NT) clamp-on 28.6 front derailleur, made about 1982-1983 $65.00

This is an updated version of the original Nuovo Record Front derailleur. It's a bit slimmer and has been lightened. Note the holes in the cage. In fact, this version is referred to as a "Three Holer" by some vintage component afficianados. Official weight is 95 grams. This version was produced 1979? - 1985

Campagnolo Super Record braze-on front derailleur (1052/SR). used $90.00

Campagnolo made Super Record front derailleurs from 1979 until 1987. We can narrow the production date of this derailleur. a bit. The circlip on the upper pivot post, the bent-out front lip of the front of the outer cage and the three open windows on the cage all mean it was made after 1981. It was likely made 1982 - 1987.

Weight is around 92 grams.

1986 (approx) Campagnolo Victory braze-on front derailleur $50.00

Campagnolo redesigned its components in the mid-1980s. The new groups were Triomphe, Victory and C-Record, C-Record being the top, professional group. Victory offered nearly the same performance as C-Record, still with superb finish but reasonably priced.

Our Victory front derailleur has had very little use. It's perfect for the 1980s steel bike restoration project.

The chrome and polished aluminum are both in great shape.
