Wilderness Trail Bikes (WTB) was started in 1982 by three icons of early mountain biking: Steve Potts, Charlie Cunningham and Mark Slate. The Marin County, California firm grew quickly. The line now includes tires, saddles, pedals, rims, wheels, grips and other components. WTB also licences its designs to other companies, such as Specialized, Blackburn and Trek.
