Shifting: Adjusting Campagnolo 11+ speed rear derailleurs

Note, before you dive into working on your shifting, this is work we love to do. If you'd like us to dial in your bike, give us a call or shoot us an email. Our contact info is at the top of the page.

Here are some trouble-shooting solutions Campagnolo has suggested for dialing in the shifting of 11-speed (or more) systems:

  1. Check the plum line distance between the hanger and the axle, which should be 4-8mm.  If this measurement is outside those dimensions, it will be impossible to get precise shifting.
  2. Check torque on lock ring 50nm or 442 inch lbs.
  3. Check that the cassette spacers are not broken.
  4. Start adjustment in middle of cassette. Shifting up and down, one gear at a time, not straight to the higher or to the lower cog.
