Paul Components Racer Center Mount Front Brake Caliper. Lightly used, $175.00/each

• This is a front caliper, but for an extra charge it can be converted to rear, standard-nutted or recessed.
• This caliper includes a Gran Compe hanger.
• Paul Components equipped this caliper with Salmon Kool Stop Thinline brake pads.

Based on the classic Mafac center pull, the Racer brake has been updated with modern materials and manufacturing. The long reaching arms are CNC machined with a T-shaped profile that makes them very stiff. The widely spaced pivots make room for larger tires and full-coverage fenders.

The company writes: We recommend these for use with our Racer, Neo-Retro, Touring Canti, Mini-Moto or Short Pull Klamper brakes, but they work well paired with any road caliper brake, cantilever brake, or other short pull brake. For a long pull brake lever, see our Love Lever Compact or Love Lever 2.5.

These levers are machined by us here in Chico California to exacting specifications. The pivot features a dual sealed cartridge bearing for the smoothest, stiffest brake lever you will ever use. Like all our components, these will be serviceable for a lifetime.

A 5mm set screw in the side of the lever perch allows you to adjust the reach, setting the distance from the bar to the lever to fit your hands.

Barrel adjusters are included for fine-tuning your brakes, and their oversized design and smooth shape makes it easy to adjust them by hand, even wearing thick gloves.
