Stronglight is a revered component maker most famous for cranksets and headsets. The firm started making cranks just before the Second World War.
In the 1970s and 1980s the biggest French bike makers equipped their best bikes and teams with Stronglight cranksets. Most notably, Peugeot pro and semi-pro bikes were Stronglight equipped. Bernard Thevenet won two Tours de France using Stronglight equipment.
The firm is located in the French bike making capitol, St. Etienne.

- Produced in the mid to late 1980s. It is in the 1984, '86 and '87 Stronglight catalogs.
