About our wheels:
- All used wheels that we offer for sale have been overhauled. Some have been re-built with new spokes, bearings, cones, hubs or rims, according to their needs.
- Quick-release new wheels will be provided with a skewer.
- All wheels, new or used, have been trued, tensioned, and bearing tension adjusted
- Axle bearing tension performed.
Front tandem wheel built with Specialized 48-hole hub/Super Champion Model 58 27"rim. Used, $150.00/each
- This wheel is built 4-cross with DT stainless steel spokes.
- This wheel weighs 1,190 grams.
- This is a cartridge bearing hub. The system uses sleeve nuts to make the transition from the threaded axle to the inner race of the cartridge bearing. It disperses the stress over a greater area of the axle as opposed to proprietary axles with a stepped design.

Here's the wheel's Wolber Model 58 rim. Wolber bought Super Champion in 1979 and eventually changed over the Super Champion products to Wolber branding. Ths is one example. Same high-quality rim.

This is a cartridge bearing hub. The system uses sleeve nuts to make the transition from the threaded axle to the inner race of the cartridge bearing. This makes it possible to use standard axle of any length to convert to different dropout spacings. It also disperses the stress over a greater area of the axle as opposed to proprietary axles with a stepped design.
