- Campagnolo Nuovo Gran Sport - Nuovo Tipo hubs were produced from some time in the 1960s until the 1980s.
- English-speaking enthusiasts generally call these hubs "Tipo".
- Campagnolo began producing a range of Gran Sport components in the 1970s. They were replaced in the mid-1980s with the Victory and Triomphe groups.
- The basic difference between the Gran Sport and Record hubs is the Record hubs have an oil hole and machined pressed in races. With just a little use a Gran Sport hub becomes as smooth as a silk.
- Campagnolo numbered the hub set 1251, the front hub 1264 and the rear hub 1265.
