Phil Wood Thin-Wall Regina & Atom Freewheel Remover. New, $65.00/each

Old mechanics remember with intense gratitude the day Phil Wood came out with this thin-wall splined Atom freewheel remover. It removed the necessity of partially disassembling the axle, removing the freewheel spacers, to get a splined tool into the freewheel. Phil's wonderful tool lets a mechanic slide the tool in over the spacers and quickly remove the freewheel.

This wonderful tool is no longer made.

Side view

From this angle you can see the thin-wall spline.

If the rim has been cut from the hub before the freewheel has been removed, you will probably have to use your imagination to figure out how the get the freewheel off.
