The specifications:
The frameset can be taken apart, thanks to the frame couplers just in front of both the pilot's and stoker's seat tubes. They look like S&S couplers, but we believe they are Burley's proprietary couplers.
The equipment on this tandem has been upgraded substantially from its factory specs.
The wheels: Shimano 48-hole tandem hubs model HB-HF05 and FH-HF05 (currently 9-speed, but capable of 10-speed and the rear is threaded for a drum brake), USA-made Matrix Vapor welded & machined eyeletted rims, DT stainless steel spokes. Specialized 700x28 Armadilo tires. SRAM 970 9-speed 11-32 cassette. The freehub body has been upgraded to Ultegra/XT with a corresponding cone on driveside.
The drivechain: The crankset is a Tracer with 175mm/170mm arms respectively. The bottom brackets are Burley press-in cartridge-bearing ones. There is a chain keeper to keep the chain from being derailed. The chain is a SRAM PC991.
Control group: The shifters were upgraded to Centaur 9-speed Ergopower, along with a JTEK Shiftmate #3 to allow the Campagnolo shifters to work with Shimano derailleurs. The rear derailleur is a Shimano STX-RC, while the front is a Deore DX.
