All used wheels that we offer for sale have been overhauled. Some have been re-built with new spokes, bearings, cones, hubs or rims, according to their needs.
Quick-release new wheels will be provided with a skewer.
All wheels, new or used, have been trued, tensioned, and bearing tension adjusted
Axle bearing tension performed.

In the early 2000s Shimano produced hubs with a silent clutch rather than with freehub pawls. There is no clicking from the pawls of an internal ratchet from wheels built with these hubs. Rumors were that the hub was developed for use on police bikes to make them silent.

The hubs use what is called a "Sprag Clutch", employing internal rollers that run free when coasting, but rotate slightly and grab the hub when torque is applied. A General Motors Turbo-Hydromatic automatic transmission used a Sprag Clutch.
