This frameset was purchased from the early days of Co-Motion Cycles in the late ‘80’s. I’d taken a used Miyata frame down to them to repair. Someone had attempted to remove its fixed cup with a hacksaw. I wanted a frame to build as a trainer bike to use in the basement. Within a short time, I equipped the Nishiki with fenders and weather resistant components as riding outside, even in the worst downpours was far more adventurous than staring at the wall in the basement. It's gone down a couple times on slick pavement or an iced bridge, but it is still the bike I choose when facing monsoon conditions.

Here's the Nishiki parked outside FedEx. This was a perfect work bike.

Another shot of the Nishiki being put to work.

Here I am enjoying the Oregon weather with the Nishiki and a friend.

Water, water everywhere. I am riding in Oregon, of course.
